We enjoyed all of our family coming over. This was an incredible cake that my good friend Michelle taught me how to make, it was a hit. We love having our family birthday parties, it gives us a chance to see some of our extended family.

The Baumannshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07915811205952908311noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4866734866557833531.post-85161347445912765262009-01-25T16:33:00.000-08:002009-01-25T16:40:28.166-08:00Happy 13th Birthday CollinCollin is now 13 and has joined the other teenagers in our home. For his Birthday he got the World Tour game for the Wii. They are quite talented in their singing, drumming and guitar playing, or at least they think they are. Here is a small sample of the talent taking place. My brother called and reminded me that I was really old, now that all of the kids are teenagers, I agreed with him.

The Baumannshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07915811205952908311noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4866734866557833531.post-86883501124247271112009-01-01T23:07:00.000-08:002009-01-01T23:22:46.388-08:00Tyler and his MomI think that this was a special year for Tyler, he is realizing that he could be on his mission next year. We had such a nice day, we always have grandparents over for Christmas breakfast, so much fun. We went to my sister's house for dinner, also a lot of fun. We also had a really fun Christmas eve with Dave's family. We are such a blessed family having so many people to love.

The Baumannshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07915811205952908311noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4866734866557833531.post-34746645132504213702009-01-01T22:52:00.000-08:002009-01-01T23:23:53.428-08:00The Wedding CakeWe love Christmas morning. This is one of
our highlights this year. Sean loves wedding
cake, so this year we ordered him his own wedding
cake, we ordered it from where Dave and I had our wedding cake made. As you can see from the
picture it was a big hit. Before opening any of
his presents, he got a fork and knife and cut him a
piece. I think this small gift was probably the highlight of his Christmas, just goes to show that it is not the amount you spend but the thought
behind the gift that is important. The Baumannshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07915811205952908311noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4866734866557833531.post-23837200536467853672009-01-01T22:43:00.000-08:002009-01-01T23:25:04.674-08:00Gardner's Village We are so blessed to have such good friends. We have been friends with the Johnson Family for about 16 years. For many years we have been going to Gardner's Village to pick out a new Christmas ornament, we then proceed to purchase extremely good fudge that we later eat, we also have made it a tradition to go to Fudruckers for dinner. This year we also added watching Home Alone. We love you Johnsons.

The Baumannshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07915811205952908311noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4866734866557833531.post-7029938729653634012008-12-12T23:15:00.000-08:002008-12-12T23:22:38.086-08:00I thought I would tell you about one of our family traditions, for many years, we have been letting the boys pick out a new christmas ornament, we now have many ornaments. Probably for the past 10 years we have gone to Gardner's Village for this event with our good friends the Johnsons. The boys choose their ornament after much consideration. As I look at the tree I have such fond memories of their childhood, I can look at the ornament and immediately be able to know who picked it out. When the boys get married they will take their ornaments with them and hopefully be able to remember good times and share these memories with those people they care about. The older we get the more special these memories are. I love Christmas, everything about it. The Baumannshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07915811205952908311noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4866734866557833531.post-15904877540688140982008-12-12T23:09:00.001-08:002008-12-12T23:14:12.624-08:00Our Christmas Tree TraditionThe Baumannshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07915811205952908311noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4866734866557833531.post-10045120911249809012008-11-02T15:08:00.000-08:002008-11-02T15:17:46.818-08:00The Teenage "Steak Night" Last weekend the kids had just been hanging out when someone came up with the idea of "steak night", they all proceeded on over to Macey's to pick out their meat, serious business. They came home and Tyler and Sean started in on completing the rest of the meal. Tyler grilled and Sean orchestrated the side dishes. We are lucky to have our children who have good friends. Everyone is always telling me that it is good to have them home and it is but "steak night" can make you a little crazy. Dave and I ate on the couch while they all sat at the table. Over all this was a successful evening.

The Baumannshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07915811205952908311noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4866734866557833531.post-57276323443908531602008-11-02T15:02:00.000-08:002008-11-02T15:07:02.822-08:00Tyler the Golfer Tyler just completed his high school golf year, what a great year, he ended up taking 6th in region and went on to compete in state. We cooked some amazing steaks on the grill, watched some movies, played games and spent some time with my sister and her cute family. We look forward to the time when we can go back up. We also had the opportunity of having a good friend work really hard and take our pictures, not an easy group to work with. Wendy Carter did a great job, we would recommend her to you. The boys have been in school almost a quarter, hard to believe. We are looking forward to the holidays, our favorite time of the year. The Baumannshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07915811205952908311noreply@blogger.com2
